My first in the series Abstract in Mexico and the only one in the series that was actually painted on location. I went out with Stock and Roberto to paint on the beach for our upcoming exhibit at Xaltemba. This was a very long secluded beach, it felt kind of spooky and lonely, as I set up to paint I realized I had nothing to offer in the traditional sense of plein air painting, it really was not going to happen that way and yet the urge to create was there so I began to paint- with enthusiasm, this felt right and all I was interpreting could be captured in abstract form. This was a true beginning for me.
