Red Hot Otto

Oil on 6" panel. Curtis is an old friend. His work has inspired me from the start. No one I know puts oil paint down thicker than Otto. We've had the great pleasure of showing his sometimes controversial artwork in the hall gallery for five years. This small painting is an homage to a true original, funny how it really is completely different from the rest of the portraits I've done in the series. It stands apart yet fits right in. I doubt there is a serious collector in this town that doesn't own an original Otto, I have several. Otto's work is now represented by Sewell Gallery in Eureka, CA.

That's a six inch panel? Wow. Beautiful, but so tiny.
